Who doesn't love to discover a great restaurant? Hamilton has become the place to eat! It would be difficult not to find somewhere awesome to eat here!
One of my favorite quick lunch eat/in or take/out places is Duarte's on Barton St. For $4.50 you can sit down and enjoy an 11 out of 10 stars spicy meatball sandwich!
I love the matza ball soup at Charred Rotisserie House on James N.
If you've never been to the Harbour Diner on James N, all I can say is go early and go hungry!!
If you don't mind waiting in line for great Italian, try Chicago Style Pizza on Upper Sherman. They're lasagna is amazing!
Another great Italian favorite is The Capri on John N. They've been around since 1963 and they still make wonderful Italian food.
You don't have to spend a lot of money to eat in some of Hamilton's great restaurants, but you can if you want! We also have some of the best 5 star fine dining restaurants for your special occasions.
Eat Up Hamilton!!
Once Spring, well... springs.... we all start to get outdoors more. Many will start looking at their gardens and see what's popping up and what work needs to be done.
1. First thing to do is clean things up! Gather all the dead leaves, branches etc.
2. Revitalize the soil with some compost, manure, fertilizer.
3. Trim old plants
4. Add mulch
5. Plant new flowers. - But DON'T plant annuals until AFTER May 24th!
Some recommendations for good spring plants include:
Vegetables like lettuce, peas and arugula
Transplanting tomato plants from indoor pots to outside
Once your Spring garden is up and running, you can look ahead to see what more you want to do with your garden over the summer. One thing to do for sure is enjoy it!!
New scams are invented daily unfortunately. If you think you have been scammed or the target of fraud of any kind, REPORT IT! It's nothing to be embarrassed about.... it happens to so many people! The best thing you can do to help is to report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre
at 1-888-495-8501. Even if you aren't sure if something fraudulent has happened to you, you can call them for information as well. They are a great resource!
